As part of Holt Art Projects Art Awards, Allen Hall Gallery is delighted to host the Benjamin Hall Photography Award, one of seven awards celebrating excellence in contemporary art.

The award recognises the unique role photography plays in observing, recording and deepening our understanding of the world around us. The exhibition brings together a shortlist of exceptional contemporary photographers working across documentary, portraiture, landscape and experimental practice, reflecting photography’s enduring ability to tell stories, capture moments and reveal new perspectives.

The shortlisted works have been selected from over 160 submissions to this new award by judges Benjamin Hall, Rick Findler and Sheila Rock. One photographer will be selected for the £1,000 Benjamin Hall Photography Award. To view the shortlisted works please click here

Winners of all seven awards will be announced at the private view and awards ceremony on Sunday 19 July from 5pm at Allen Hall Gallery and Plastic Culture. The exhibitions will continue until Saturday 1 August here in Glandford and also at St Andrew’s Church, Church Street in Holt.
