Lydia Ward
After years of formative and creatively-stimulating experiences in Paris and subsequently New York, Lydia was able to experiment, develop and evolve her practise to find her artistic direction.
She likes to describe herself as an environmental artist. Her practice involves the use of materials that would normally end up in landfill, or dumped in our oceans. Horrific acts of pollution and disregard for our planet.
Lydia experiments with vibrant and enticing colours through different plastics, woods, fabric, paint and found objects, donated or discovered, to create and demonstrate reusability - at the same time provoking thought, discussion and inspiration.
