Tara Sampy

Tara has always had an interest in plants, the people who grow them, and interpretations of the concept of ‘nature’. In recent work she has brought plants into the making process, placing them onto the inked plate and printing directly from them.

Notions of wilderness and community and how we manage those environments are born from this interest in the botanical field and they naturally spill out into her public engagement and participatory work too. Are we looking at representations of plant life, or human life?
